Havasu Christian Home Educator’s

P.E. Class Information 2017

Sept 22nd-Nov 17th

Classes are offered for children six and over.  We would love to have a volunteer to teach a 3-5 year-old class also. This class would be free.  P.E. classes begin Friday, September 22nd   we meet every Friday for nine weeks from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m.  Please plan to arrive by 8:20 so your child does not miss the warm-up exercises.  We want to be warmed up for the distance run.  Children will work on five areas of physical fitness AND we will play a group game every week. On week nine, November 17th, we will perform final testing for the physical fitness awards for students six to eighteen.  No group game will be played.
Cost for nine-week session is $10 for the first child, and $5 for each additional sibling,
family maximum cost is $20.00.

To be held at Rotary Park near the large playground and ball fields.
The class fee helps to cover supplies and fitness awards.    Please sign up as soon as possible and pay by the September meeting.  You may also bring your payment to the first class and give it to Pat, PE coordinator.  Checks should be payable to H.C.H.E.  2017-18 membership dues must also be paid before you child can participate in P.E. classes.
Now, what to bring:
  1.  Children must wear comfortable athletic shoes.  This is important for safety and allows them to do their best.  Big-5 often has great deals on athletic shoes.  (Please, no “Keds” style shoes that don’t have tread.)
  2. Every child needs to bring his own water bottle.  It does not work for siblings to share.

One more detail:  You are responsible for your child, and a parent needs to stay at the park.  Most parents hang out and fellowship near the playground.  If you decide to walk around the park simply provide the P.E. teacher with your cell phone number.  If there is a week when you need to leave your child in someone else’s care it is imperative that you personally tell your child’s P.E. teacher who you have asked to be responsible for your child.  Children have gotten sick or injured. (Rarely, but it does happen.)   As stated on our membership application, HCHE is an informal group of families that join together to provide activities for our children.  We want to be able to continue offering these types of activities.

Please call or e-mail me with any questions. zemans6@hotmail.com   or 928) 208-6297.
I look forward to seeing everyone and working with your children!

Blessings,
Pat Zeman
