Board Game Activity

Our next meeting with be March 21st. We will be using this time to plan activities for the students. Previous activities have included events such as a talent show, a beach party, boomerang-making, rocket launching, game night, a Valentine's Day party, and a bonfire.  Annually we also do at least one community project.

Graduating Seniors

P.E. classes are held every semester for students age six and older.  These P.E. classes train students in various games and sportsmanship. A one-time fee of $5 per family is collected. If you teach or assist with a class the fee is waived.

One of our highlights each year is our graduation ceremony.  Sixth, eighth, and twelfth grade graduates are honored on a personal level.  God is glorified throughout this event as Christian speakers address the graduates and eighth and twelfth grade diplomas are presented by the graduate's parents.  Other special features include a slide show of the graduates and an opportunity for graduates to share talents, such as music or drama.  The spring ceremony is organized by the graduates and their parents.

K & R Reptile Field Trip

Field trips are organized by members.  Visits to local businesses, police departments, fire departments, exhibits and museums have been informative and fun.  We have also enjoyed many trips to out-of-town locations, such as The Lied Museum in Las Vegas and the OdySea Aquarium in Scottsdale.

Every year we publish a professional Havasu Christian Home Educators' yearbook. The yearbooks are created on TreeRing.com. They are 46 pages and contain photos of the families and children in our group. They also contain most HCHE field trips, events and activities. The cost is generally $13.99 each which includes two free custom pages (custom pages are of your family only and will appear in your yearbook only). For more information please contact Tracy or visit the TreeRing website.
